MONDAY MORNING

31 march 2016

A short CG animation about the futility of everyone's daily routine of getting to work.

We were asked for the third quarter of my second year at St.Joost to create a story without the use of a character with the help of the Maya software.

The animation is set in a room. The room keeps transforming to various modes of transportation. We start in a bedroom, then a bus, then a subwaystation, then inside the subway, then in an elevator and finally at an office. Every room consists of abstract 3D shapes that get detailed by 2D animated drawings. The whole movie shows the futility of someone’s daily routine of getting to work.

I wanted the audience to be an active part of the movie. Every setting in the movie is set from the perspective of the viewer.
